Belarusian microchip maker to participate in Indian space industry tender

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian electronics manufacturer OAO Integral will take part in a new tender for the development and delivery of microchips for Indian spacecraft, BelTA learned from Anatoly Belous, Integral’s Deputy Director General for R&D, on 2 March.

Thanks to new technical solutions in the area of circuitry engineering OAO Integral was earlier able to win a tender for the development and delivery of microchips for the Indian space industry. The Belarusian company had to compete with companies from Russia, the USA, Germany, and China. The Belarusian company signed a contract worth about $1 million.

Taking into account positive results of the contract, the Indian side invited OAO Integral to participate in the new tender. “It signifies an increased respect for the company. Spacecraft with our technical solutions work flawlessly. We hope we will win the new tender, too. It will secure deliveries for many years to come,” said Anatoly Belous.

In his words, the company’s participation in programs of the Union State of Belarus and Russia helps OAO Integral master new technological processes among other things. Since 2000 OAO Integral has participated in 11 R&D programs of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Nine of them have been completed successfully.

The holding company OAO Integral offers a wide choice of microelectronics components and finished products (medical instruments, digital tables, control units for household appliances, industrial equipment, automobiles, agricultural machines, and so on). The company offers design, development, manufacturing, marketing, and customer support services.

Enterprises of the Belarusian holding company make over 2,000 types of integrated circuits, 500 types of semiconductor devices, 200 types of liquid-crystal indicators and models, 150 electronic products. OAO Integral products are used in virtually all branches of the national economy: computers and control systems, informatics systems, aviation, space industry, nuclear industry, energy-saving equipment, and other areas.
