Dozens of agreements to be signed during Belarus-Russia regional forum
MOGILEV, 11 September (BelTA) - More than 40 documents on cooperation will be signed during the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia due in Mogilev on 10-12 October, Vice Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov told the media in the run-up to the meeting of the Belarusian and Russian organizing committees, BelTA has learned.
"During the forum we will discuss promising strategic plans for the development of cooperation between the regions. We also plan to sign more than 40 joint documents on cooperation. This is a very important result of every forum contributing to the deepening of our integration," Yuri Vorobyov said.
He emphasized Mogilev's readiness for the forthcoming forum. "Today we saw that the main facilities are almost ready. We have no doubt that all of them will host the events at a high level. The program itself is very interesting and full of various activities. I am convinced that we will hold this event, which is very important for both countries and peoples, at a high organizational level," Yuri Vorobyov said.
Yuri Vorobyov added that the representatives of approximately 30 regions of the Russian Federation are expected to attend the forum.
The 5th Forum of Regions will be held in Mogilev on 10-12 October. The event is organized by the Council of the Republic of Belarus’ National Assembly and the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia. The event is held annually alternately in Belarus and Russia.
