Belarus’ Nina Savina wins Minsk Half Marathon 2019

Nina Savina of Belarus won the 21.1km race of the Minsk Half Marathon 2019 which took place in the Belarusian capital on 15 September, BelTA has learned.

Nina Savina set a new record of 1:11.24. The previous winning time of 1:12.02 was held by Sheila Jerotich of Kenya. Second in the race of the Minsk Half Marathon 2019 was Ethiopia’s Shega Maeregu (1:12.18). Third was her teammate Tesfanesh Denbi (112.50).

The men’s event was won by Eritrea’s Afewerki Berhane (1.04.09). He was followed by Ukraine’s Nikolai Lukimchuk, 22 seconds behind. Third was Kenya’s David Kiptui Tarus (1:05.33). Fourth of Belarus’ Sergei Kravchenya (1:08.49).

Gold medals in the 10.5km race went to Belarus’ Artyom Logish from Grodno (32.37) and Irina Somova from Grodno (37.51). Yuri Kapterov of Mogilev took silver with 32.44 minutes. Second in the women’s event was Anna Maksimova of Vitebsk (38.23). Bronze medals were collected by Russia’s Roman Malykh (33.56) and Valentina Zelenkevich from Minsk (41.03).
