Delegations from 15 countries to attend Mogilev investment forum

MOGILEV, 28 June (BelTA) – Delegations from 15 countries are expected to attend the 10th edition of the Mill of Success investment forum that will take place in Mogilev on 29-30 June, BelTA learned from the economy committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.

“We are expecting over 500 guests and participants from Russia, China, Japan, Romania, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Poland, Bulgaria, Czechia, Lithuania, Latvia, France, the United Kingdom, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Vietnam and other countries. These are representatives of diplomatic missions, regional authorities, business communities, as well as heads of companies and corporations,” the economy committee informed.

The forum will focus on interregional contacts that give momentum to long-term cooperation between countries in culture, trade and investment.

Some guests will arrive as early as 28 June. For example, a delegation from Romania’s Cluj County is set to meet with representatives of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee on 28 June.

The main venue of the forum is the Olimpiets sports complex where a presentation of investment and innovative projects of the region will be held.

The first day of the forum will include section discussions and a plenary session. On the second day government officials and representatives of the business community will speak about the state and prospects of interregional contacts and their impact on raising investments into the region’s economy. The meetings will be concluded with a ceremony to sign protocols of intentions, agreements and contracts.

The program includes an award ceremony to celebrate companies and individuals who have made substantial contribution to the formation of a positive image of Mogilev Oblast in trade, investments and culture. One of the awardees is deputy chief of the regional information department at BelTA News Agency Sergei Kulyagin.

A conference “Innovations From Science to Manufacturing: Successes, Challenges, Prospects” is meant to discuss collaboration between science and business and to introduce business people and manufacturers to the latest scientific solutions.

B2B meetings will be structured into five sections: Union State integration, promotion of the Japan-Belarus industrial zone; implementation of the Belt and Road project in Mogilev Oblast; cooperation with the EU as one of principal vectors of foreign trade; emerging markets as a source of new opportunities for Mogilev Oblast.
