Belarus attends UNESCO consultations
The Belarusian Culture Ministry has taken part in the UNESCO regional consultations on cultural policies for Europe and North America. The event was held online on 13 December and was chaired by Minister of Culture and Media of Croatia Nina Korzinek, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Culture Ministry.
The main issues considered during the meeting were investments in culture and creativity. They concerned job creation, promotion of cultural diversity in the digital space, and raising the status of creative workers. Participants also discussed the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage for social inclusion, dialogues and peace, and strengthening the interaction between culture and education for the development and sustainability of society.
More than 100 people participated in the regional consultations.
