Lukashenko wants Mogilev Oblast’s southeast development program implemented in next five-year plan

The program on developing Mogilev Oblast’s southeast should be implemented during the next five-year plan. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement while talking to participants of the ceremony held to inaugurate a new bridge over the Sozh River in Slavgorod District, Mogilev Oblast on 13 July, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “The program has to be implemented during the next five-year plan. If we implement the program to develop this region, Mogilev Oblast will live. Investments are good and preferences are admirable over there. And people come here. I will do everything to get the program implemented. It is very important. People can and should live here.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko encouraged citizens to live and work hard in their own land. “We are not wanted anywhere else. Competition is crazy these days. This is why take a look at the place you are accustomed to, find some parcel of land [to work on], some factory or plant to build, or a business to start,” the president noted.

“Look at your land. If you fortify your position here, then your kids will have a foundation for development. This is why build your house here. Regardless of how the situation develops, God will always support us if we work, if we aspire to achieve things,” the head of state concluded.
