The subsistence minimum budget will grow in Belarus from May 1
The size of the living wage budget will change in Belarus since May 1, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported.
By the Decree of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated April 21, 2021, No. 28, for the period from May 1 to July 31 of this year, the size of the subsistence minimum budget was approved on average per capita and for the main socio-demographic groups.
The average BPM per capita is set at Br273.27, which is 4% higher compared to the norm that was in effect from February 1 to April 30, 2021.
The size of the subsistence minimum budget for the main socio-demographic groups (in March 2021 prices): able-bodied population - Br303.53, pensioners - Br207.06, children under three years old - Br174.51, children from 3 to 6 years old - Br241 , 29, children from 6 to 18 years old - Br294.36.
In connection with the change, various allowances and increases built into the social protection system are also automatically revised, as well as individual social benefits calculated from the size of the BPM: the size of state benefits to families raising children, social pensions, additional payments to pensioners aged 75 and over who receive pensions in the bodies for labor, employment and social protection, benefits for caring for a disabled person of group I or for a person who has reached the age of 80, allowances and increases to pensions, which are provided for certain categories of pensioners. These payments increased in line with the growth of BPM by 4%.
